Production Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

As a result of the growth they are looking for an experienced Production Supervisors with USDA experience to join their first shift team in Greenbay WI. Multiple location in the US and can provide lots of opportunity for advancement!
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides direct supervision of production lines & personnel as assigned to them.
Enhances daily production performance through proactive thinking and employee engagement.
Ensures all personnel are trained at their position. Responsible for developing and enhancing employee skills.
Responsible for regular monitoring and reporting of KPI’s and delivering on departmental and company goals.
Works with Supply Chain and Scheduling to ensure all sales and production schedules are obtained.
Ensures all lean manufacturing and other data is collected daily and posted.
Supervises the raw material requirements for each production line & adapts to shortages of raw materials.
Revises run orders in order to best supply production lines with raw materials taking allergen controls into consideration.
Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed by their direct reports and issues disciplinary actions where needed.
Monitors & ensures safety compliance for all assigned areas.
Develop continuous improvement plans to nagging issues and line enhancements to improve Safety, Quality and Efficiencies.
Manages all recipes given to mixing staff to ensure accuracy to customer specifications.
Perform daily checks of areas for non-compliances and report them to your manager.
Work directly with NPD/R&D personnel on new product launches and trials.
Work directly with QC and technical personnel on addressing and resolving deficiencies.
Ensures job rotation for employees.
Completes performance and talent reviews in a timely manner.
Other tasks and projects deemed reasonable and reasonably requested by management
Prefer that candidates that a BA/BS degree but will consider those without provided they have significant hands-on supervisory experience with a Food Manufacturer
Must have at least 3 years of Food Manufacturing experience
MUST have USDA experience
Must have at least 2 years of production supervisory experience
·Prefer candidates that have experience working and interacting with the USDA and FDA.
·Must have solid coaching skills and a good understanding of food manufacturing GMP’s and SOP’s
·Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to speak effectively before groups.
Must have solid math and computer skills.
Must be personable, flexible and be driven to succeed
