MARKETING DIRECTOR Specialty Ingredients
Our client is a world class manufacturer of specialty ingredients sold to food and beverage manufacturers worldwide. Based on a recent acquisition, they are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Director who will activate their strategy, bring focus to their brand and build awareness/demand in their target markets. The Marketing Director contributes to our success by creating and overseeing the execution of the Marketing plant through close collaboration with the Companies leadership team (including Sales, R&D, and Operations). The Marketing Director may direct, manage, and develop one or more Marketing Coordinators. They prefer the Marketing Director to be based in the Dallas, TX area but they are flexible and open to different options. Relocation is available
Research: Generate market insights to inform strategy and guide investment in key product development initiatives for optimal launch success and growth
Research: Amplify and distill the voice of the customer to provide clarity on key trends influencing consumer purchases in relevant markets
Strategy: Develop marketing strategies to communicate new product introductions and innovations to support the sales organization and their success.
Alignment: Drive both the short and long-term planning and execution and align with stakeholders to understand key objectives and critical deliverables.
Alignment: Analyze and report the performance of Marketing campaigns to develop insights which will improve KPIs.
Development: Build and optimize Marketing processes and utilize resources efficiently to drive results and balance workload.
Execution: Act as point person and hold teams accountable for delivering on project plans, remove daily blockers that interfere with project success factors, and update project trackers and reports.
Coordination: Manage agencies and coordinate to implement key marketing initiatives.
Coordination: Work with the sales team to ensure all are trained on Marketing tools, customer presentations, and newly launched products.
Coordination: Be an advocate for open and transparent communication and a win-win culture across the organization.
Research: ability to understand competitive dynamics, industry trends, and customer preferences and translate that data into actionable strategic insights, information, and initiatives
Communication: ability to write about and/or visually represent both technical details and compelling value propositions to a variety of stakeholders and audiences
Creativity: demonstrates sensitivity and imagination in solving complex problems with a variety of innovative ideas and unique alternatives
Tools and Methodologies: ability to use CRM, Marketing Automation, and web tools/analytics to assess performance, identify opportunities, and create competitive advantage in an evolving digital marketplace
Campaign/Project Management: ability to bring structure to a set of internal or external work streams, initiatives, or processes so that quantifiable objectives (awareness %, # of leads, etc.) are achieved on time and under budget
Required Education and Experience
MUST have at least a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Food Science or a Business field required, MBA would be preferred
MUST have at least 5-10 years of B2B Marketing experience in the food industry ideally working with some type of specialty Ingredients, ice cream/confectionary products, flavors, nutraceuticals etc.
Must be willing to travel as needed
Research/Strategy: Experience researching, translating, and aligning consumer insights to strategic initiatives for a product or brand
Management/Coordination: Demonstrated capability to effectively plan and execute multiple projects against fixed timelines with successful outcomes
Creative: Experience in developing professional content, participating in/sponsoring tradeshows, creating solution-oriented digital Marketing campaigns, and building compelling customer presentations.
Coordination: Experience working with complex businesses to enhance performance and communicating collaboratively across the organization's functions, geographies, and key commercial accounts..
