Summary

Our client is a leading Global manufacturer of high quality, Plant Based Ingredients and Ingredient Systems sold to major food manufacturers and restaurant chains across the world. Due to continued growth in North America, they have an immediate need for an experienced Technical Services Manager to help support sales and customers nationally The Technical Manager is responsible for providing ongoing technical and product development support for existing customers as well as developing new accounts as opportunities arise. In this role, you will work cross functionally as part of the global team to address customer inquiries and build relationships across all levels with companies in the food and beverage industry. Experience with functional ingredients and or working knowledge of either meat and or dairy alternative products. Some travel involved and should be comfortable engaging with customers directly, creating a process and project leadership while following up on current and future projects.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all inquiries from customers. As needed, support outside sales & business development, marketing and customer service teams in addressing requests.
• Manage assigned accounts and develop new opportunities as they arise. Assist in qualifying new leads and access their technical needs as a functional ingredient expert in regard to plant based categories such as meat and dairy.
• Collaborate with the North American team members to provide sustainable solutions related to customer projects and inquiries.
• Work cross functionally within the larger network to provide customers with current and relevant information pertaining to such topics as available services, supply, nutritional guidelines and new materials.
• Lead and manage all aspect of assigned customers and potential customers plant-based initiatives and projects. • Lead and assist in any product development project
• Stay abreast of current trends, market conditions, and technological advances in the plant-based segment
• Provide product development and technical support to key customers
• Visit customers with field sales and/or attending trade events as needed

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in a science-related field required, Food Science degree preferred.
• Prior customer engagement experience inthe food and beverage industry and or culinary experience helpful.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to organize, prioritize, and effectively use your time and resources within a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), presentation, organizational and time management skills.
• Purpose driven and team mindset
• Up to 20 - 30% travel required.
