Summary

Our client is a WI based, Specialty Ingredient Manufacturer with several plants in WI. The company is growing steadily and due to a upcoming retirement, they need to hire an experienced PLANT MANAGER with similar Food Ingredient, brewing or similar processing experience to manage a plant located in the Manitowoc, WI area. The Plant Manager is responsible for running the plant and achieving an optimal balance of quality, service and efficiency in order to achieve operational excellence at assigned manufacturing location, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in developing and appropriately implementing operational strategic plans, policies and practices to meet, quality, food safety, capacity, service and financial/cost/budget expectations.
• Aligning all manufacturing-related activities appropriately to meet corporate supply chain requirements.
• Acting as liaison with appropriate corporate support functions in achieving the desired culture of employee engagement, building optimum employee relations, appropriately training/developing employees and obtaining employee safety goals.
• Acting as liaison with appropriate corporate support functions in ensuring compliance in accordance with all applicable regulatory agencies, such as OHSA, FDA, USDA and EPA.
• Establishing, monitoring and leading efforts to meet key performance metrics. • Being responsible for food safety.
• Regular and punctual attendance and physical presence in the workplace.
• Timely and accurate completion of duties.
• Occasional travel for work, up to 33% of the time.

Requirements

• MUST have at least a BS/BA Degree • MUST have at least 6 years of INGREDIENT, BREWING or SIMILAR MANUFACTURING experience.
• MUST have at least 2 years experience as a Plant Manager/GM • MUST be financially astute and have proven success managing a P&L
• MUST be strong hands-on LEADER who is collaborative and subscribes to an open door policy • MUST be able to positive mentorship and develop the management team for succession. • MUST have a flexible personality, have a strong business acumen and above average communications skills • MUST have continuous/process improvement experience. • MUST be able to work under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing environment while maintaining strong quality and safety programs In return, they can offer a competitive base, bonus potential, top notch benefits, relocation and ample opportunity for career advancement.
