Our client is a global diversified food manufacturer with over 200 plants worldwide. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced FINANCIAL ANALYST with experience working with inventory, materials and process improvement in a plant environment. This position is based in Lakeland, FL but the successful applicant must be willing to relocate within the US for future promotions.
 
 The Financial Analyst is an integral part of the plant management team, measuring the plant performance, and supporting improvement plans. This position will be responsible predictive analysis of manufacturing data, evaluating variances against KPI performance, and process improvement on industry/internal benchmarking. Will be responsible for recommending strategic alternatives and developing operational plans. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify, monitor and analyze issues that affect profitability, growth, productivity and enterprise performance management with the goal of improving efficiencies in plant performance.
  
  
• Perform KPI and trend analysis to assist in identifying areas for improvements and opportunities.
  
  
• Valuate intermediaries and by-products vs. market information to maximize margins and control inventory cost.
  
  
• Remain current on data sources and analysis tools.
  
  
• Provide accurate and useful reports about potential business opportunities.
  
  
• Coordinate and challenge other functions on performance management data and issues.
  
  
• Oversee cycle accounting activities at the plant, as well as all outside storage locations.
  
  
• Work closely with Procurement on buying and trading strategies.
  
  
• Work with Business Development teams on pricing and margin strategies.
  
  
• Determine opportunity potential around capital projects and project request.
  
  
• Assist in identifying data integrity issues and take corrective actions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
  
  
• Must have at least 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience.
  
  
• Must have Cost Accounting experience.
  
  
• Must have a Strong Inventory background, including experience working with intermediaries and by-products.
  
  
• Must have experience with Process Improvement initiatives.
  
  
• Must have at least 3 years of experience working in a process manufacturing environment, ideally in the food or beverage manufacturing segments.
  
  
• Prefer applicants with a CIMA, CPA, or CMA certification achieved.
