Our client is one of the largest snack food manufacturers in the US. They have an immediate need for an experienced Sanitation Supervisor at one of their key manufacturing facilities located in the Roanoke Rapids, NC area. Company prefers to interview local applicants or experienced Sanitation Supervisors currently living in the Southeast region and can easily relocate to Northern NC. 

The Sanitation Supervisor will support the Sanitation Manager and supervise the hourly sanitation staff while ensuring appropriate sanitation standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise approximately 15-20 sanitation workers on any shift.
• Supervise daily workloads, training staff, and handle performance reviews and goal setting.
• Oversee all sanitation functions for plant/shift.
• Schedule major cleanup projects with production supervisors.
• Maintain chemical usage and cleaning logs.
• Responsible for inventory and storing of sanitation supplies.
• Monitor staffing to reduce costs and increase efficiencies whenever possible.
• Responsible for training all new sanitation workers in proper cleaning SSOP’s, chemical use, and safety procedures.
• Manage detailed cleaning tasks through sanitation work orders, and master sanitation schedules.
• Manage the preparation and execution of sanitation audits
• Additional responsibilities as necessary.
• Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements.
• Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your manager.
• Responsible for partnering with others; Sharing knowledge, skills and information within your team and across functional areas.
• Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development

Qualifications:

• BA preferred but company will consider applicants with a high school diploma if they have 5+ years of Food Sanitation experience and 3 years of Sanitation Supervisory experience.
• MUST have 2 years of Sanitation Supervisory experience with a food manufacturer, preferable DRY sanitation.
• MUST have food or beverage manufacturing experience
• MUST be willing to work on the second shift.
• MUST have knowledge of sanitation chemicals.
• Prefer applicants that have AIB, SQF  and HACCP experience/exposure
• Pest control experience would be helpful
• Prefer local applicants from Northern, NC / Southern VA area or applicants who currently live in the Southeast and can easily relocate to Northern NC.
