Our client is a world-leading supplier of functional ingredients and flavoring systems for use in the manufacture of retail, foodservice, and industrial food products.  They are currently seeking an experienced WAREHOUSE MANAGER in the Grand Rapids, MI area.  This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the organization's warehouse & supply chain operations and ensure the facilities are in compliance to policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ÿ  Ensure all required KPI's are met regarding facilities goals on safety, production, quality and costs.

Ÿ  Ensure the timely and accurate execution of all system process transactions to include; inventory accuracy, data identification integrity, material movements, quality holds, receiving, shipping and transfers.

Ÿ  Accountable for compliance with "all" regulations. Food Safety, Allergen Controls, Pest Controls, Hold Product Controls, Sanitation and Material Handling Equipment.

Ÿ  Support and service all production activities including shipping, receiving, storage and handling of ingredients, packaging, WIP, semi-finished and finished products.

Ÿ  Responsible to ensure 100% FIFO product life rotation.

Ÿ  Coordinate transportation carriers and performance through the utilization of TMS. Ensure all scheduled shipping and receiving appointments are timely and in support of production and customer requirements. Accountable for all internal material movements and transfers between plant and outside warehouse facilities. Ensure that inventory at all facilities are in compliance to safety and inventory accuracy requirements. Effectively responsible for all outside facility operations.

Ÿ  Ensure warehouse operations are appropriately staffed and employees are properly trained and certified to execute their duties. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Ÿ  Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing warehouse management.

Ÿ  Previous work experience within a food manufacturing and distribution environment.

Ÿ  A minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing warehouse and distribution leadership role with demonstrated ability to lead change.

Ÿ  Must have an attitude of 100% accountability and responsibility.

Ÿ  Ability to drive for excellence in all areas, focus on effective internal and external customer-supplier relationships.

Ÿ  Proven experience in various management/leadership positions.
