Our client is the leader in the manufacturing of quality Citrus Oils used in the flavor, fragrance and industrial solvents businesses. This growing, Florida based company is expanding and looking to add an experienced SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST to their Citrus R&D group. This key position reports directly to the Senior VP of R&D and requires prior Citrus Oil research experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, target matching and development of citrus products
• Technical support for flavor/fragrance ingredient sales
• Conduct high quality presentations and customer calls
• Improvement of existing product line as needed
• Willingness to take initiative and other activities as necessary
• Must be able to travel between 5-10% of the time

Qualifications

·         BS Chemistry/Food Science required and M.S. preferred.

• Minimum of 5+ years of research experience in the Citrus/Flavor industry with specific experience in product development, applications and technical services.
• Strong technical knowledge of Citrus Oils
• Proficient in analytical instrumentation - GC and GCMS
• Proficient in advanced separation technologies for citrus oils
• Very strong communication (oral & written), presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Project management skills and experience
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook
• A proven track record in problem solving, experimental design, and creative thinking
