Within the Quality department at their upstate New York hydrolysate plant of the nutritional division we are searching for an: Analytical Chemist who is able to: 

Description

·         Analytical testing and recording

·         Record keeping and report writing

·         Maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment

·         Inventory maintenance

·         MSDS file upkeep

·         Coordinate outside testing

·         Interact with R&D Team and production

·         Assists with Chemical Inventory

·         Performs routine preventative maintenance on balances and incubators

·         Participates in GMP audits 

Job requirements

·         B.S. degree in chemistry or related field with course work in computers, analytical equipment operation and data reporting.

·         Recent experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory, preferably with Quality Control experience

·         Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages

·         Ability to multi-task, change priorities, produce quality work, produce accurate results, perform steadily, pay attention to details and maintain a safe work environment

·         Thorough knowledge of theory behind company methods of analysis and ability to perform them

·         Ability to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions independently

·         Skilled with computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel

·         Ability to perform light physical work, exerting up to 30 pounds of force on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds of force on an occasional basis, performing such activities as grasping, lifting, reaching, and repetitive tasks.
