Ingredients - Retail and Foodservice Segment
Location: Chicago, IL
JOB SUMMARY
Our client is a
growing confectionary/ingredient manufacturer located in a suburb
south of Chicago, IL. They are actively seeking a Regional Sales
Manager INGREDIENTS (RETAIL AND FOODSERVICE SEGMENT) to join their
team based in the Chicago area. Local Chicago area candidates are
strongly preferred.
SUMMARY:
Develop and implement retail and foodservice product sales and
promotional/marketing programs for supermarket, wholesalers,
distributors, and brokers to achieve assigned sales revenue
commitments. Develop account and market specific strategies for
addressing requirements or special situations, competitive
vulnerability and/or new market potential by performing the
following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet with accounts,
brokers and distributors to present products and
promotions/marketing programs. Manage relationships and establish
targets/goals as appropriate.
- Monitor store level
implementation of promotional/marketing programs to assure they meet
planned objectives.
- Create and present
professional product presentations, promotional formats and business
reviews.
- Develop and
implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals to
include sales analysis, problem solving, account planning, and
promotions and deductions review.
- Review market
analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount
rates.
- Advise dealers,
distributors, brokers and customers concerning sales and advertising
techniques.
- Works with internal
R&D, production, etc. and supports the process as required.
- Analyze sales
statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting
sales.
- Represent the
company at trade association meetings and conventions to promote
product.
- Maintain
relationships with buyers, brokers and distributors via telephone,
electronic mail and in person as required.
- Prepare periodic
sales reports showing volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed
client base expansion.
- Monitor and evaluate
the activities and products of the competition.
Requirements
·
Ideal
candidate will have experience with confectionary, fruit fillings,
sauces, and related products.
- Candidate
must have experience selling value added, industrial food
ingredients
- Applicant
must have experience selling food ingredients into the Retail
and/or Foodservice Segments
- Applicant
should be living in the Chicago, IL area
