RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ÿ  Assigns production operators to production tasks taking into account available personnel and experience/knowledge of operators                     

Ÿ  Instructs, trains and motivates operators

Ÿ  Ensures tasks are performed in a safe manner and in accordance with GMP's and SOP's

Ÿ  Monitors and verifies performance of equipment and the production process

Ÿ  Monitors digestors and maintains logs

Ÿ  Monitors use of raw materials and other ingredients used in processing products

Ÿ  Reviews and transfers data from batch sheets, keeps logs of events in shift notes

Ÿ  Documents and reports data as required by management

Ÿ  Works varied shifts as needed 

REQUIREMENTS:

Ÿ  Two year degree in food science or engineering or equivalent experience

Ÿ  Experience in providing work direction or supervising employees Hands on experience with PC's

Ÿ  Experience in a food or pharmaceutical related manufacturing facility
