Our client is one of the leading manufacturers of quality snack products in the US and business is BOOMING! As a result, they have several 2^nd shift production supervisory positions available in Chicago land area (Schaumburg, IL.) This is a great opportunity for an experienced and career oriented Production Supervisor with Food Manufacturing experience. These supervisory positions are on the 2^nd shift. (They are also looking for an experienced Production Manager with Food manufacturing experience on the 2^nd shift as well).  

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing production lines,  operations and employees on their shift .

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for supervision of production operations, personnel, and safety for specific area/lines.

·         Responsible for implementing the production plan.

·         Responsible for resolving maintenance issues.

·         Directly supervise, train, and evaluate employees.

·         Communication and coordinate activities with other shift supervisory staff and Operations Manager ensuring smooth production work transitions.

·         Actively monitor document and work to improve production issues facility wide.

·         Assist with audits as needed.

·         Make proactive recommendations and offer solutions to the Production System Manager to improve output and efficiencies.

·         Additional responsibilities as necessary.

 Qualifications:

• MUST have 3+ plus years experience in a FOOD manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years in a Supervisory position
• Bi-lingual (Spanish- English) would be helpful but NOT required.
• AS or BS degree preferred, but not required if applicant has 5+ years food manufacturing experience
• Ability to work overtime and in a fast paced work environment
• Must have excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Continuous improvement experience is a plus. 
• Company prefers applicants from the Chicago area or surrounding Midwest states.
