Job Description:
One of the world’s leading multinational companies developing, producing and selling natural, nutritional and high-quality dairy products, fruit-based products and ingredients is searching for a MAINTENANCE & SMALL CAPITAL PROJECTS PLANNER. The Maintenance and Small Capital Project Planning function is the hub from which all planned maintenance activity is coordinated. It is the process of describing a job in terms of how it is to be performed and what resources will be required. The Planner ensures that all internal customers of Maintenance receive timely, efficient and quality services. The Planner is able to help Production balance their need for daily output with their need of equipment reliability through pro-active maintenance. The Planner is responsible for long-range as well as short-range planning. Long-range planning involves the regular analysis of backlog relative to available resources. These two basic variables must be kept in balance if a proactive maintenance environment is to be established and sustained.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ÿ Initially screen all maintenance jobs requests
Ÿ Analysis of job requirements to determine the best way to accomplish the work
Ÿ Research job utilizing equipment history to leverage previously developed job plans
Ÿ Create detailed job plans including task, resources, materials, cost, and safety/environmental requirements
Ÿ Assemble job package including all instructions to execute work
Ÿ Requisition all required materials through mechanical stores or Procurement
Ÿ Schedule the work integrating both the customer's and maintenance's needs
Ÿ Develop maintenance shutdown schedules integrating all activities into one comprehensive plan
Ÿ Perform administrative duties in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) up to/and including redesign and/or set up of a new system making effective use of that system
Ÿ Directing and executing the site's proactive maintenance program
Ÿ Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the preventive maintenance program
Ÿ Scheduling all planned maintenance activity at the site
Ÿ Plan manpower and material requirements as appropriate for all maintenance work
Ÿ Maintain a backlog listing of all pending work orders with priority level assigned
Ÿ Attend regular Operations meeting for input and feedback on planning activities
Ÿ Hold weekly planning meetings to set priorities, review schedules and plan pending work
Ÿ Compliance with all safety rules and regulations for self as well as others
Ÿ Work effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier, and; respecting the diversity of our workforce in actions, words and deeds.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ÿ Three to Five years of Maintenance experience
Ÿ Demonstrated organizational and computer systems skills including experience with CMMS
Ÿ Must have technical knowledge of food processing equipment, bearings, and general industrial equipment
Ÿ Mechanical aptitude is necessary
Ÿ Two years or greater of maintenance planning preferred
Ÿ Two year degree in applicable field
