International Food ingredient and Flavor Company seeks to fill a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR position located in the Blue Earth, MN area. This growing company has multiple manufacturing plants in the USA and can provide exceptional career opportunities for the degreed, ambitious supervisor . This is a great opportunity for someone who is degreed and has 2-5 years of food production supervision experience. Applicants MUST have food manufacturing to be considered.     

Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of production employees engaged in operating a variety of equipment to produce products by performing the following duties. 

Responsibilities:

Under direction, schedules and sets up production lines involving a variety of processing and packaging operations.

Ÿ  Analyzes work orders to estimate employee hours and create equipment-operating schedules that meet both internal and external needs.

Ÿ  Inspects and approves work areas for proper production set up and sanitation conditions.

Ÿ  Checks flow of work, analyzes delays and scrap problems, and takes corrective action.

Ÿ  Periodically tests product to ensure that product quality is maintained. · Recommends new quality improvement concepts in order to improve efficiency and scheduling.

Ÿ  Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems.

Ÿ  Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met. · Maintains time and production records.

Ÿ  Directly responsible for the supervision of production employees in a unionized facility, including training, employee motivation, performance evaluations, maintaining compliance with union contract (for unionized plants) as well as state and federal employment laws, disciplinary action, and recommend compensation adjustments. 

Qualifications:

Ÿ  BA/BS degree

Ÿ  At least 2 year of manufacturing experience within the food industry

Ÿ  Have excellent communication/people skills

Ÿ  Be career focused and ambitious

Ÿ  Able to work in a fast paced, rapidly growing environment
