JOB SUMMARY

Our client is a very successful, Florida based manufacturer of Specialty CITRUS based ingredients. They are currently seeking an experienced Global Sales Manager to sell Citrus oils and associated Citrus Fractions and Isolates around the world. This Global Sales Manager can be home based anywhere in the US or abroad and will travel extensively. Qualified applicants must have prior experience selling flavors and have existing connections and relationships with potential clients (flavor and food manufacturers).

 RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sales and service responsibilities for the global flavor/fragrance ingredients.  Extensive travel required.
• Research, target and develop new flavor ingredient business.
• Works closely with R&D personnel to identify new product opportunities through involvement in business reviews with major customers, research on emerging markets and by establishing a protocol for new product ideation.
• Developing and coordinating custom products with customer R&D groups that meet a specific need for targeted customers.
• Responsible for negotiating profitable pricing programs within established parameters.

·         Responsible for becoming a sales specialist in all Food Ingredient product lines in terms of functionality and application.

·         Responsible for submitting annual business plan, goals, weekly activity reports, and weekly expense reports. 

REQUIREMENTS

·         BA/BS degree, preferably science related.

·         Strong technical knowledge of food flavors and ingredients functionality and application.

·          Must have existing experience/relationships within the Flavor/Food industry.

·         5+ year’s sales experience within the Flavor/Food/Citrus ingredient industry.

·         Excellent oral and written communication and problem solving/decision making skills.

·         Highly motivated and self-directed individual able to work in fast-paced environment.

·         Project management skills and experience.

·         Ability to prioritize, anticipate situations and take quick action.

·         Computer skills required: Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook.
