Our client is one of the largest snack food manufacturers in the country. They have an immediate need for a 2nd shift SANITATION SUPERVISOR at one of their key manufacturing facilities located in the Schaumburg, IL area.  

The SANITATION SUPERVISOR will supervise the hourly sanitation staff while ensuring appropriate sanitation standards are met.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ÿ  Directly supervises, trains, evaluates and counsels the Sanitation crew on the second shift.

Ÿ  Ensures all employees work safely and follow Company rules, policies and Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP’s).

Ÿ  Establishes and maintains a high level of morale and camaraderie within the department.

Ÿ  Ensures all plant equipment, packaging machinery, packaging rooms, warehouse and perimeter areas are cleaned daily in accordance with federal, state, local and Company regulations.

Ÿ  Conducts facility inspections by searching for unsanitary conditions caused by insects, rodents and/or personnel.  Then, takes the necessary action to correct the condition.

Ÿ  Maintains active working knowledge of all sanitation and cleaning procedures.

Ÿ  Ensures sanitizing chemicals, safety equipment, power equipment and manual tools are being used correctly and safely.

Ÿ  Maintains adequate inventory of sanitation chemicals.

Ÿ  Help manage all preparation for AIB and customer inspections 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ÿ  BA preferred but company will consider applicants with a high school diploma if they have 5+ years of Food Sanitation experience and 3 years of Sanitation Supervisory experience.

Ÿ  MUST have 2 years of Sanitation Supervisory experience, preferable DRY sanitation.

Ÿ  MUST have food or beverage manufacturing experience

Ÿ  MUST be willing to work on the second shift.

Ÿ  MUST have knowledge of sanitation chemicals.

Ÿ  Prefer applicants that have AIB experience

Ÿ  Pest control experience would be helpful 

Ÿ  Prefer local applicants from the Chicago-land area.
