Summary

Production Planner – Flavor Manufacturing Location: Arlington Heights, IL Our client is a mid-sized FLAVOR MANUFACYURER based in the Chicago area with multiple plants. They are actively looking to hire a Production Planner with Food, Beverage, Ingredient or Flavor Manufacturing experience. The Manufacturing Production Planners are the ones who have end-to-end visibility with our processes. They are able to analyze raw material available, arrange customer orders and develop schedules for the production team to complete. They need the mindset to look at stats, figures and spreadsheets with the understanding of production capacity to prepare detailed instructions for the production team to follow. Plus, their communication style lends itself to work with customer service, account managers and purchasing members in a collaborative environment to solve problems. Your success in filling this role will be based on: ERP expertise in Microsoft Dynamic 365 or related ERP system, reaching order fulfillment goals and on time delivery metrics, reducing backlog and raising promise order metric to an all-time high.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all production planning including raw material inventories; production progress tracking and monitoring; resolving scheduling conflicts and issues
• Manages and sets production scheduling
• Utilize ERP and the Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling system to schedule, manage, and track all areas of facility production.
• Works closely with customer service/sales, production, purchasing, shipping/receiving, R&D, and QC departments
• Strives to meet production lead times and customer satisfaction
• Analyze trends to increase and decrease inventories
• Proactively align production plans with facility projects to achieve effective results.
• Report daily/weekly production results and provide feedback to departments directly impacted.
• Create and promote a team environment.
• Organize your day so that vital tasks are completed on time and accurately.
• Make scheduling decisions that are best serve the network supply and meet operational efficiencies.
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Prefer a BA/BS degree but will consider candidates without a degree with applicable experience • Must have at least 3+ years of Production Planning experience • Must have FOOD or BEVERAGE, INGREDIENT, FLAVOR , CHEMICAL or PHARMACEUTICAL MANUFACTURING experience • Must have ERP/MRP experience • Must be highly computer literate, including extensive knowledge of Excel and Word • Must be able to work under own initiative to tight deadlines and work at a fast pace • Must be pro-active in all aspects of supply chain and planning management • Must have the ability to support, supervise and train junior planner In return, they can offer competitive pay, excellent benefits and ample opportunity for career advancement.
